Dr. Kenneth Kenshin Tanaka is a professor of Buddhist studies at Musashino University, Tokyo, Japan, and is an ordained Shin Buddhist minister with MAs from IBS as well as University of Tokyo and PhD. from U.C. Berkeley. Currently he also serves as president of International Association of Shin Buddhist Studies (IASBS) and as board members of many other academic societies and organizations. Educated both in Japan and U.S.A., Dr. Tanaka is one of truly rare bicultural specialists and prolific writers on Pure Land Buddhism.
